ABOUT JAMES METHVEN
A brand and marketing change agent and strategist. I am recognised as a fearless leader and enthusiastic innovator who consistently looks to lift the team\'s game. Finding the keys to unlocking brand value, crafting customer experiences, and sustainable growth solutions are what tempt me back every day.My journey spans multiple industries where I\'ve realised numerous brand transformation programs working with multinationals such as Navico Group, Electrolux, Newell Brands, Coty, Unilever, and smaller growth-stage companies.WHAT I ADD TO THE MIX: Very good (sometimes exceptional) customer experiences that build engagement drive acquisition and create value Category-breaking initiatives that raise marketing support programs above the ordinary Winning teams via inspired and motivated people Humour and camaraderie - a marketer\'s craft can be tough, but we\'re not in the business of life or death, so at times, a light-hearted perspective is the best medicine.I always encourage fresh perspectives, so I am no stranger to the classic \"pivot\" and a bit of risk to achieve desired outcomes, so here are a couple of fun facts: As a teenager with zero pocket money, a friend and I grew and sold cabbages door-to-door to finance two much sought-after CB radios. We hit our sales target sooner than anticipated but still had plenty of (perishable) cabbages left, so we donated them to the local sanatorium Early in my career, I co-founded a vending machine business with a friend while we were working full-time jobs. Things were going great, but moonlighting quickly brings you to a crossroads when you must step out of a meeting to restock vending machines because a site has run out of drinks! We decided our careers were more of a priority at the time, so we sold the business (with a neat profit share) Get in touch if you\'re looking to lift your team\'s game
