Educated in the ways of mission command, experienced in various aspects of uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), engaged with emerging autonomy technologies (often grouped together as ‘artificial intelligence’), immersed in an SME business. I work at Archangel Autonomy, a defense tech artificial intelligence company focused on UAS. I was the Programme Engineering Lead for Project HADO (High-intensity Autonomous Drone Operations). I led a close support artillery Army Reserve regiment through the challenges of the pandemic. I served as the senior operator of the British Army\'s Watchkeeper UAS. On deployed military operations, I commanded a UAS organization comprising 185 personnel.Over the course of my career, I have learned that the culture and coherence of a team significantly influence its ability to rapidly overcome challenges and achieve the vision, in whatever context that may be. Strong, collaborative teams, trained and trusted to perform, are more resilient, drive faster innovation, and have a greater chance of enduring success.A challenge facing the defenders of democracy is embracing mission command of autonomous systems. I am keen to connect with people on my wavelength.
