Providing strategic direction to the Council’s housing service to put in place a range of flexible and dynamic approaches to maintain, improve and develop the Council’s housing assets over the short, medium and longer term.The Council owns 5,422 homes valued at £609.6m; in addition, we have circa 375 leasehold properties and non-domestic assets valued at a further £10.8m. My role is to ensure the physical and financial performance of the council’s housing assets keeps the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) viable. This directly impacts on our customers and the communities they are in. A good quality and well-maintained homes can significantly impact upon the health, wellbeing and quality of life of our residents.
