About James Yellow

Hi there! I’m James, a UX/UI designer and photographer based in Orange County, CA. Through studying sociology and design innovation at UC Berkeley, I have a solid foundation in research and human-centered design methods. I design because I’m passionate about deeply understanding people’s problems and leveraging that knowledge to make their life experiences better. I work best when collaborating with focused teams who encourage frequent communication in fast-paced environments. I value receiving constructive feedback from others so that I can continually learn and grow. I respect the design thinking process because of how it consistently and objectively produces data-driven, empathy-based solutions. I have professional work experience mainly with B2B SaaS products, but also with B2C consumer-facing products. Three words I would use to describe myself are curious, persistent, and adaptable. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing volleyball, dancing to hip-hop music, and helping people prepare for careers they’re passionate about. Thanks for taking some time to learn about me!
