I have been reviews editor at the Believer since February 2021, where I have spearheaded the magazine\'s front-of-book culture reviews section, The Field. Prior to that, I worked as the features editor, editing longform features and shortform departments for the print magazine. I joined the staff, as departments editor, in November 2017. Over these four and half years, I have brought in ambitious, impactful reported stories, such as Ben Mauk\'s \"Weather Reports: Voices from Xinjiang,\" which was a finalist for a National Magazine Award in illustration, a nominee for the National Magazine Award in reporting, and was the most viewed story in the history of believermag.com. I also published powerful personal essays like Chloe Cooper Jones\'s \"Such Perfection,\" which was included in Best American Travel Essays 2020 and served as the basis for Easy Beauty, a forthcoming book on beauty, disability, and philosophy. I also shepherded unusual and engaging short essays by acclaimed writers including Eileen Myles, Alejandro Zambra, and Carmen Maria Machado.
