I joined Disney Interactive in April 2014 to head the games department (EMEA) and create best practice high quality inspirational games where the experience matches the magic and creativity of Disney brands. In this role I am leading the team to deliver entertainment content including casual games, mid-core games, game events and activities for brands from across the whole The Walt Disney Company. I’m responsible for leading all aspects of game production and live operations in multiple languages, for multiple territories to ensure Disney consolidates its core position as one of Europe’s leading casual and mid-core games publishers on mobile and tablet platforms and the Disney commercial family entertainment websites.

ABOUT JAMES WRIGHT
I have been working in the games industry for 20 years, during this time I‘ve worked for large publishing corporations to medium sized studios developing original IP and classic gaming brands, and have founded and ran my own award winning games development studio for 6 years. This experience is underpinned by a lifetime passion for games.In addition to my games industry experience, I have worked for on-line digital agencies and in the field of consumer research. This means I have a deep understanding around audience’s needs and motivations when interacting with digital products. I\'m currently based in London working as Head of Games for Disney, I was brought in to form and manage a team that creates mobile and on-line casual games for key Disney properties for preschool to general audiences, along with overseeing the commercial success of our PC, Mobile and Console video games slate for EMEA.This has seen the creation of multiple successful titles including the 2016 Children’s BAFTA nominated title “Star Wars Arcade”.I am also a founding member and on the leadership team for Out Making Games, who help to connect and empower the LGBTQ+ community working in the games industry across the UK.
