The equipment worked with is high priority to stakeholders, so should defects emerge within the system it’s extremely important to get functionality back within a timely manner keeping the customer updated along the way. In this role I had daily hands on experience with Cisco switches, routers, Fibreoptic cabling & Network Monitoring Systems. 20••••23 – During my tenure in this role I was the equipment lead for the Royal Navy overseeing a team of 4 people that assisted the Aircraft Carrier Alliance (ACA) with the installation of 4 networks compromising of over 1200 Cisco switches, IP Visual Surveillance Cameras, VoIP and IPTV throughout the Royal Navy’s QEC Class. Working closely with industry this section of the project was delivered on-time and under budget. During this time my work was recognised with the Captains end of term award, an accolade I’m extremely proud of.Following the successful installation of the Networks, I then proceeded to take the ship to sea where sea trials where conducted on all the equipment. During this time it was my job to ensure that corrective maintenance was conducted on any emerging defects, swiftly giving functionality back to the customer.
