ABOUT JAMES WELBURN

I am passionate about music and the provision of a high quality music education for all. As ABRSM’s Deputy Head of Engagement, I work closely with music organisations around the world to provide opportunities for children and young people to access and progress in music, from grassroots through to higher education and industry.As a composer I write primarily for solo piano in a range of styles, from classical and jazz to contemporary and educational. I have four books published by Editions Musica Ferrum: Musical Escapades (2019), Reflections in Waltz (2020), Adventures & Accolades (2021) and Star of Wonder (2021). Recordings are available on all major online platforms, including Spotify, Amazon Music and iTunes.
