About James Carter
7 year experienced Drilling Engineer specializing in high complexity well design and execution. Currently drilling carbon capture injector and monitor wells for Tallgrass Energy CCUS project. Previously I worked at Southwestern Energy (SWN) working the Haynesville region drilling HPHT natural gas unconventional shale wells. Prior to SWN I was a drilling engineering advisor for ExxonMobil on the Guyana deepwater drill team. I have extensive experience in drilling engineering and operations support from both the office and rig site and gained an expertise in both land and deepwater operations, exploration drilling, and Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD). I earned my Master\'s degree at UC Berkeley, where I studied Mechanical Engineering with a concentration on Advanced Energy Technology and project management. I earned my BS in Petroleum Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
