About James Thompson
Having led the sale of HaloSource to Strix, PLC, I rejoined my friends at Alexander Hutton as an advocate for the entrepreneur community (raising capital and doing sell-side M&A advisory). Half of my professional life has been spent in corporate finance (banking, investment banking and venture capital) and the other half running companies as the CEO or functional leader on the leadership team (led the team that completed the $80m HaloSource 2010 IPO). Throughout my career I have closed 60+ transactions and raised $350M+ in growth capital (debt and equity.) Having been on \"all sides of the table” (operator, financier and intermediary) I bring a unique perspective to this important advocacy work.
