About James Stratton

Currently the investigative reporter at WISN TV in MIlwaukee, WI. My investigations have changed laws, created reform and shaped policy. Our \"No License Loophole\" investigation uncovered a deadly loophole in state law allowing police to write tickets instead of charges for drivers without a license. The investigation forced state leaders to change the classification of drivers, and changed Milwaukee Police policy. It was also a finalist for a 2024 IRE Award. Throughout the years, investigations include uncovering Iowa\'s missing persons database was missing hundreds of photos of missing people, which prompted a law change. Others involve uncovering a multi-billion dollar healthcare fraud scheme, a gold bar scam costing Wisconsinites millions, and a sweeping investigation into Wisconsin\'s mental health law. Also received an NAB Service to America award for an investigation into Iowa\'s emergency medical systems which uncovered people were dialing 911 and not receiving an ambulance.
