About James John

Jim is an experienced luxury hospitality innovator with a demonstrated history of success in a wide range of international projects on land and sea. He began his career in the hospitality industry at Laurance Rockefeller’s legendary Little Dix Bay Resort in the British Virgin Islands after serving as the military advisor to the first elected governor of the US Virgin Islands. Later in his career as Vice President & Director of Operations at the Virgin Grand Beach & Tennis Resort, he led his team to earn the first award of excellence by Corporate & Incentive Magazine given to a property in the Caribbean.He was recruited as Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer at the Jupiter Island Club, the premier private residential community in the United States. There he led the resident takeover and revitalization of the club, its facilities and services. Sought out as an advisor to the residents’ committee, Jim later became the President and CEO that rescued the residential vessel – The World from bankruptcy. Jim purchased the ship, organized the operations, completed the sale of the residences and spend 600 plus days onboard, perfecting the product and establishing it as the standard still not duplicated in the industry. After leaving The World in good hands, Jim formed Precise Hospitality Management where he serves as President & CEO. Precise has conducted and continues to serve in a range of capacities including asset management, development, property management and the full spectrum of hospitality sales and marketing. International projects have included Iconic Santorini, a luxurious cave hotel named Best Boutique Hotel on a Global Level twice, luxury lodges, boutique hotels and upscale resorts.Currently, Jim is involved advising hotel and resort projects in Zambia, a branding and possible management contract project in Nigeria, a private club hotel in south Florida and as expert advisor to a group developing what will be a complete disruptor to the superyacht ownership and charter industry.

Our team provides a wealth of practical and tangible international experience. Over the past 14 years we have continued to foster and develop of an extensive network of hospitality experts, allowing us to provide the precise set of skills required for the success of a wide range of projects.The PHM team has conducted successful consulting, marketing, asset management and full operational management in Central America, Europe and Africa. In the United States we have focused on the private club industry and at sea, with several of the planned residential ships, hotel ships and superyachts.A sampling of projects includes Escarpment Luxury Lodge in Tanzania, Iconic Santorini Boutique Hotel in Greece, the Williams Island Club in the US, Amaryllis Hotel Blantyre in Malawi, Lusaka Legacy Resort in Zambia and a confidential assignment for what is now the Ritz Carlton Yacht Club.
