   I serve as a partner in BakerHostetler’s New York office, co-chair the Emerging Technology Team, and lead our Information Governance and Artificial Intelligence engagements. I litigate general and commercial matters, focusing on eDiscovery; Data Privacy; Data Security and Breach Response; Information Governance (IG); Artificial Intelligence (AI); and bank secrecy and algorithm development. I advise on merger & acquisition due diligence, and draft and coordinate information governance practices, policies, and schedules for clients. I direct client corporate structure and business offerings regarding international data privacy requirements, and I serve on Data Privacy, Security, Breach Response, and Discovery Management Teams, assisting with oversight of all discovery and ESI issues arising from the Firm’s role as court-appointed counsel to the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC. I also undertake “deep dive” technological and case law-related assignments for omnibus motions and case strategy. I assist organizations in developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy programs and compliance with the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) as well as other state and federal privacy legislation; help with considerations of and responses to inquiries regarding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including coordination with local counsel and developing appropriate multinational strategies; and support international data transfers, including cross-border transfer mechanisms, standard contractual clauses, inter- and intra-company agreements, and binding corporate rules.
