I have subsequently added consultancies with the South Asia department and the global forecasting unit. I continue my activities on behalf of Argentine journalism. mainly through the journalists\' organization Foro de Periodismo Argentino (Fopea). Most of my professional life was spent at The Washington Post (from 1971 until 2006). Since 2004 I have been involved with South American journalism, primarily in Argentina as a member of Fopea, which seeks to elevate the journalistic ethical standards in Argentina and monitor freedom of expression issues. On behalf of Fopea I have made presentations around the country on a variety of journalism-related topics. I have also presented seminars in Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay.
