About James Ribaudo
James is the Director of Operations and oversees all projects and related staff and is active in the management and design of each. He has a very unique skill set: James is equal parts creative and well-organized. This combination allows him to provide Arterial’s clients with creative design solutions while ensuring that the project stays on track, on schedule and under budget.During his 15-year career as a Landscape and Urban Designer, James has worked on a variety of projects locally and internationally and was integral to the formation of Arterial. He has managed several \'high performance\' street designs throughout northern New Jersey in Montclair, Bloomfield, Jersey City and Hoboken to name a few. On each of these projects, his strong collaboration skills and organization allowed him to engage the community, stakeholders and consultant team. This ensures that the design solutions are creative and meet the community needs, while keeping a keen eye on implementation. James is a family man who loves nothing more than spending time with his wife and children. But that being said, it is not unusual for him to pause a family vacation so he can score the perfect photo of an odd curb ramp or cool new bike lane. You may laugh but you’ll thank him later! James is a primary contributor to Arterial’s ‘Street Image Library’.

Arterial is a full-service, collaborative studio of landscape architects, planners, and designers passionate about creating great streets and public spaces. We are casual observers, people watchers, walkers, cyclists and ‘Complete Streets’ advocates. We believe that successful public space is achieved through thoughtful planning, cost effective design and community involvement.
