ABOUT JAMES REESE

I am a Texas Certified Public Accountant with nearly 20 years of diverse industry experience. To oversimplify “what I do”, I help business owners and/or non-financial counterparts better understand and improve the organization’s financial position and performance. I enjoy leading teams with a cross-functional and collaborative approach to problem solving. I focus on delivering meaningful results to enhance financial performance in several ways: business process improvement, leveraging new technologies, and optimizing operating expenses, to name a few.In addition, I have significant hands-on experience with merger & acquisition analysis as well as post-acquisition integration. I have skillfully managed many business relationships including banking, credit, and external CPA firms. My global experience includes establishing entities and maintaining compliance in many foreign countries such as Singapore, Canada, Australia, Scotland, and Netherlands. I have initiated several efforts to optimize operating expenses such as 401(k) plans, health & wellness benefit plans, and property & casualty insurances. I enjoy leading teams with diverse disciplines including FP & A, financial reporting, risk management, general ledger accounting, invoicing, payables & receivables, multi-state payroll, and treasury management.Making a positive impact and adding value is what ultimately fuels me. Whether it’s supporting fellow business leaders, leading a team of professionals in the office, or coaching a little league team on the baseball field, I strive to add value by being practical, thoughtful, and thorough.
