I\'ve been working on or with technology for most of my life. I\'m a self-professed computer nerd, and I enjoy what I do. It\'s a hobby as much as it is an occupation. Consequently, the enjoyment translates to energy and passion for the job. I\'m a born leader, and initiative\\responsibility are core values to me. I like to think that it makes me a good employee. In my role as a Technical Solutions Architect, I\'m responsible for both staying abreast of the cutting edge of technology - with an emphasis on cloud migration and infrastructure, identity management, and integrations - and also acting as a conduit to the business, taking in and understanding their challenges and providing insights and solutions on how to overcome them using these technologies. At a project level, I take part in the process from end to end - from requirements gathering, to vendor selection, to solution design, and finally to implementation and handover. My goal is to provide tech-based and process-based solutions that are not only a positive driver for business operations, but scalable and sustainable for the Technology facets of the company. Lower administrative overhead while improving results: everyone wins. I take a lot of fulfillment from being agile and adaptive. I\'m not interested in just \"keeping the lights on\" from an IT perspective - I\'m always looking for ways to improve and enhance, add value via technology. I strive to continue growing, learning, and snacking on knowledge. I\'m always looking for the next level. Currently looking to expand my horizons, take on new challenges, and add to my arsenal of skills and certifications. Areas of expertise include: Microsoft 365, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, Okta IAM, Dell Boomi, batch scripting\\automation (Powershell, Python, VB.net) Years of experience as a Systems Engineer overseeing Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business\\Teams, Microsoft SQL Server\\MySQL, RHEL Linux, VMWare, Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 HLB, Microsoft IIS\\Apache Web Server. Outside of work, I keep busy with youth soccer, traveling near and far to watch my kids play. I also enjoy playing my drums when the house clears out!
