My primary focus was translational bioinformatics, where I utilized clinically relevant datasets for method development and evaluation. This was a crucial area of research, especially as advanced machine learning methods were increasingly introduced for precision oncology. At the time, I was building a web application that leveraged clinical omics to extract biological insights from high-performing models, and I shadowed medical oncologists to observe the clinical decisions made for cancer patients.
