About James Moncur

I am a researcher in computers, software, chemistry, physics, materials, drugs and medicine. I have a passion for solving complex problems with innovative solutions and diverse skills. I have worked with leading organizations in various industries, such as NASA, Lockheed Martin 19 years, Chevron 1 year, Montgomery Consulting Engineers Pasadena CA, Finnigan Instruments 1 year, SAES Getters SpA, Foxconn, AmWaterWorksAssoc, Science Applications Incorporated Co, Westinghouse, LA-MWD - delivering high-quality results and insights on various projects and challenges. In the hobby zone for 34 years I have built 150+ PC computers running DOS, Windows and Linux. I have repaired 150+ computers also in 34 years. I learned computer software programming and networking starting formally at DeAnza College in the 1990\'s by taking classes. I designed and built a number of PC computers that were used in Lockheed-LMT plus software support provided. I have been writing here on LinkedIn on chemistry, medical sciences, physics, technology, computers starting on May 1, 2017 so that is over 8 years. My core competencies include analytical chemistry, materials characterization, materials failure analysis, contamination evaluation, anomaly resolution, and design-build of low power video camera arrays, computers, networks, and power systems. I have expertise in various analytical techniques, such as GC/MS, LC/MS, MS/MS, HRGC-HRMS, HPLC, SPE, FTIR, IEX-Chrom, optical spectroscopy and DBA. I have also contributed to the fields of aerospace engineering, electrochemistry, biomarkers, and interplanetary space dust. I have authored over mostly not officially recognized 100+ publications as book chapters, journal articles, other, and at conferences. I received a few minor honors and awards at Lockheed for my work.
