ABOUT JAMES MITCHELL

A graduate of triOS College of Technology — with distinction — in Network Administration, where I formalized and validated knowledge I had previously acquired through years of self-study. In addition to my studies, I earned CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, achieving the CompTIA I.T. Operations Specialist (CIOS) designation to strengthen my professional foundation in IT systems and infrastructure. Currently, I serve as a Systems Administrator at Planit Canada, where I combine my IT background with hands-on technical consulting for customers in the CNC and woodworking industry. My role extends beyond traditional systems administration — I support, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC machinery, develop and modify post processors, and create custom scripts to meet unique production requirements. Over the years, I’ve built a deep understanding of diverse machine types, often self-taught through exploration and problem-solving. This curiosity and persistence have helped me develop and solidify key machine partnerships, ensuring smooth integration between software and hardware in real-world manufacturing environments.
