Senior Gardener responsible for the Woolbeding Glasshouse and Silk Route Garden at, Woolbeding Gardens, National Trust.At Woolbeding, I am custodian of the Silk Route Garden and responsible for the maintenance contracts of the Heatherwick Glasshouse. I’m responsible for a small, but dedicated team, including line managing our assistant gardener and around seven volunteers. We work closely with the Great Dixter team and Fergus Garrett, who created the planting design for the Silk Route.The Woolbeding glasshouse was designed by Heatherwick Studio, with the Silk Route Garden surrounding and enveloping it, devised by the Great Dixter Charitable Trust. The design showcases plants from 12 different regions of the ancient trading route, taking you from Europe through to subtropical China.
