In retirement, as a part-time volunteer, I translate documents to help get people out of ICE detention centers. As Executive Director of the Marmot Library Network I managed a team of 15 supporting Sierra, Pika, and IT for 26 library systems in Colorado. At TLC, CARL, Unisys, and OCLC I did product strategy, sales, project management, customer support, and software development. As a remote volunteer, I translate documents needed to get detainees released on bond or parole. I interview potential clients by video, most in Spanish. I spent 2 weeks in Georgia interpreting for attorneys and detainees at the Stewart Detention Center (Oct 29-Nov 9, 2018).
