ABOUT JAMES METCALF

As someone with over two decades of experience in property development and property-related business, I understand the importance of delivering on promises and exceeding expectations. That\'s why I live by the mantra of \"under promise and over-deliver\" in all aspects of my career. At the young age of 24, I founded an internet-based property legal services company that grew rapidly and expanded into a joint venture with a small law firm in West Yorkshire. Eventually, the company was sold to American tech giant Legal Zoom. Throughout my career, I\'ve gained extensive experience in dealing with property transactions with a complex defective nature, land assembly, acquiring sites, and raising private equity for major development and land acquisition. I\'ve also managed commercial disputes on JCT and taken developments to completion, holding off lender step-in rights, and completing development portfolios in the wake of the great recession. I\'ve negotiated land assembly with national property developers including Barrat\'s and NEC and worked closely with multiple Local Authorities within England and Scotland on planning applications and development frameworks for the inclusion of sites from the companies\' portfolio. In 2008, I founded the quick sale company which has since become a well-known and trusted name in the property industry. During the pandemic, I founded Safermask Group, which pioneers environmentally friendly, reusable facemasks with the most accreditations in the field. The company has become an exclusive supplier to one of the largest vaccine companies in the world. As someone who always strives to exceed expectations, I believe that \"under promising and over-delivering\" is not only a smart business strategy, but also a moral obligation to my clients and colleagues.
