ABOUT JAMES MCCAFFERTY

I’m a Member of Youth Parliament for Lancaster, Fylde & Wyre, focused on improving education, expanding opportunities, and making sure young people actually have a say in decisions that affect them.I was elected to represent young people locally, and I work to make sure their views are properly heard in politics. That means speaking to students, understanding the issues they’re facing, and pushing those concerns into wider discussions around education and opportunity.Alongside this, I’m leading a campaign for better access to school counsellors, pushing for proper mental health support in schools so every student can access it. It’s part of a wider focus on practical policies that actually make a difference, rather than just sounding good.
