ABOUT JAMES MASON

I lead Esko’s Print Optimization & Planning (POP) business, the new name for the former Tilia Labs product lines, including Phoenix and Griffin. These solutions bring intelligent layout, planning, and estimation to packaging, label, and wide-format printing, helping customers reduce waste, improve efficiency, and respond faster to market demands.My remit spans sales, marketing, operations, product strategy, and customer success, with full accountability for commercial results and the overall running of the business unit. I work with international teams across EMEA, the Americas, and Asia, driving alignment across direct and indirect sales channels, global accounts, and partner networks. A key part of my role is leading the integration of Tilia Labs into Esko — aligning cultures, processes, and systems while ensuring continued innovation and customer value.Over my time at Esko I’ve held several leadership roles, including regional directorships and responsibilities across sales, marketing, and pre-sales. This breadth of experience has given me a well-rounded view of how to grow a business unit, from strategy through to execution.I’m known for being commercially sharp, direct, and execution-focused — simplifying complex challenges, setting clear priorities, and building strong teams that deliver results.
