As a UX professional, I believe in honoring the customer, by making his or her experience as simple, clean and fast as possible. I believe that achieving these aims is a collaborative effort—content strategists, developers, and business leads working in conjunction with the UX lead to make the decisions needed to deliver an amazing customer experience while also providing the business with a real, measurable ROI. I believe in data and the need for it to inform UX, both as means to uncover issues that, when addressed, enhance the UX, and as way, in this age of finite budgets, to justify what UX facets should be addressed in future releases. I believe in customer research and the value of A/B testing. Finally, I believe in giving back, in mentoring less experienced UX designers and information architects.
