When I engage with a client, I focus on six areas. Vision: I help my clients take the long view, whether finding opportunities for reuse, or looking for future opportunities that can be prepared for now. The project at hand it often a means to improve internal processes, develop new business or create new market opportunities.Passion: I enjoy all aspects of what I do, and try to bring that spirit to my engagement with clients. Even in challenging times, under pressure, it is my job to instill confidence in the team and to take some of the pressure off of their shoulders.Expertise: Overall of my career, I have delivered solutions of many sizes, in multiple industries that have leveraged different technologies and architectural patterns, on teams from 1 to 100+. These experiences enable me to bring more than one option to the table when a problem is presented. In addition, I get excited when presented with the opportunity to experience something new.Delivery: In the end, I am responsible for ensuring delivery. My quality bar is set high, from the first email, statement of work, vision document through architecture, design and code deliverables, ending with transition work and future planning. I have experience running all aspects of consulting delivery, and apply those processes to my own work, and to the teams that I am a part of.Value: I want my clients to feel that they have received more in return than they paid out, no matter what the cost of the engagement. I have helped my clients land new business, taken on more scope to allow them a higher profit margin, have mentored their team members, and have helped them improve their internal processes. Balance: My health and my family are my first and second priorities. Work comes third.
