   Serves as and expert HR Specialist (Classification) and performs broad, complete classification, position management and related programs and initiatives, Exercises responsibility for a variety of the most complex classification, occupational reviews, and significantly contributes to the development of HR operational policies on a variety of diverse issues including providing high level classification assistance and guidance. Implements classification actions through the use of automated position description tools. Ensure that all classification actions and risk assessment forms are completed. Performs completed classification staff work. Provides broad assistance and guidance researching and analyzing Federal classification information and responding to internal and external customers and staff members. Conducts position reviews and/or desk audits and prepares evaluation statements in support of final classification and FLSA determinations withing established timeframes. Conducts classification surveys and other organizational or occupational reviews as needed. prepares, researches and/or justifies findings of first-level classification findings/results, position management recommendations and/or other corrective actions as required.Serves as a recognized classification expert, consultant and provides authoritative advice and guidance in collaboration with classification staff, managers, and employees throughout various geographical locations within GSA. Responsible for classifying, reviewing, and implementing position descriptions in a variety of occupational series and grades. Has classification authority to classify positions from the GS-01 through the GS-15 grade level, and all FWS as needed and in consideration of the diverse organizational issues associated with each individual assignment. Serves as an expert and key spokesperson while leading project teams and serving as a team member.
