About James Lewis

I am an electrical engineer who designs both analog and digital electronics. I go from schematic capture to PCB layout (Hardware design) to writing firmware for embedded microcontrollers.I have experience writing firmware for 8-bit PICs to MSP430 to ARM (Cortex-M3, A8, A53), and 8051. I have also based designs on single board computers with ARM processors running Linux glueing an FPGA with VHDL firmware with DMA to a Linux driver.Most of my designs use sensors and mixed signal design (ADCs, timers, amplifiers, etc.).When given a problem, I develop hardware and firmware designs that have low cost BOMs as well as other DFM issues. I am just as comfortable designing products for one-off prototypes as well as 100k/year production.
