The Resident Care Assistant provides essential personal care and emotional support to residents, helping to maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life. The RCA assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports medical staff, and contributes to a safe, clean, and compassionate living environment.Tasks-Check vitals-Get weights-RDA\'s such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding-Help residents with mobility, including transferring, repositioning, and walking-Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional condition to the nursing team-Assist with the administration of medications (where allowed and trained)-Help with light housekeeping tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, and laundry-Support residents during mealtimes, including setting up food trays and assisting with eating if needed-Provide companionship, engage residents in conversation, and encourage participation in recreational and social activities-Ensure residents’ safety and privacy are maintained at all times-Follow care plans and document care provided in compliance with facility policies-Adhere to infection control, health, and safety standards.
