Provide general management and direction of an engineering organization and ensues all performance metrics are achieved. • Responsible for people management including goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, engagement, and well-being for a team of approximately 100.• Organize the engineering activity according to the load, project complexity, and required skillset.• Manage the load/capacity of the department and develop versatility in it.• Guide the engineering team through the visual SIM process to drive KPIs and ensure overall performance. • Ensure technical quality and service levels are maintained throughout the engineering lifecycle.• Define training according to skill matrix and competencies targets.• Ensure compliance with project requirements are maintained within our product definition and design intent.• Continuous improvement of the design activity in terms of technical knowledge, efficiency, quality, and productivity.• Ensure overall customer satisfaction and quality is delivered for both our internal and external customers.• Guide change activity to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction with successful change management.• Serves as the owner of the SPS Cards 14A & 14B for their engineering location and assists other lean manufacturing priorities as necessary.
