About James Johnson
If you find something you love to do, then do it; you wouldn’t have to work another day of your life!” These words came from my Dad and became the essence in which my career was built upon. With over fifteen years of experience working in retail bakeries, numerous 5 star hotels, and countless cafes of fortune 500 companies, I have perfected my craft. However, it was a renewed Spirit that inspired me to return to the roots of my passion: great tasting food, hospitality, and local farm to plate ingredients. With training from popular Chefs, and a solid culinary education, I have come to a conclusion that my calling isn’t just about creating and cooking great food, but it’s about telling the stories and history behind my recipes. I am anchored to a solid foundation of God’s words that yearns to inspire a generation to fearlessly pursue their dreams and passions. Growing up on a farming community in the lowcountry of South Carolina, I am rooted in strong work ethics, utilizing fresh ingredients and truly living by the farm to fork concept. I believe that every culture has a “soul food” and my mission is to optimize flavors that promote wellness, comfort and nostalgia.
