Responsibilities include1. Specifying instrumentation ranging from safe area sensors for the Water and Power industries to bespoke hazardous area control and monitoring panels for the Oil industry.2. Producing C&I drawings such as P & IDs, Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect charts, Wiring & Loop Diagrams, Instrument Schedules, Data Sheets and Hook-up Diagrams to exacting client standards and requirements.3. Verifying & Approving 3rd party / vendor designed packages and deliverables, at both Design and As Built stages.4. Liaison with clients, sub-suppliers and engineers of various disciplines during Project execution phase5. Rotating machinery instrument installation and testing including detailed knowledge of Vibration and Temperature Monitoring systems.6. Inspection and functional testing of Monitoring and Control Panels.7. Inspection and functional testing of API Lubricating Oil systems and Seal systems8. Production of instrumentation tenders to meet client’s expectations and specifications.9. Attendance at technical meetings, including HAZOP studies, with UK and overseas clients and sub-suppliers, at both Tender and Project execution stages of contracts.10. Training of mechanical and other instrumentation engineers using formal Presentation and hands-on formats.11. Guiding and mentoring more junior Instrument engineers.
