ABOUT JAMES HENDRICKSEN

Since December 2007, James Hendricksen, has provided expert GIPS® compliance consulting and verification services to clients ranging in AUM size from $100 million to over $500 billion. James manages these services, which can include tasks such as verification of compliance claims, gap analysis, and pre-compliance readiness assessments, for numerous firms. His knowledge and experience cover all phases of the verification process. In addition, he specializes in working with alternative asset management structures. With his assistance, his clients gain assurance of meeting the GIPS standards, maintaining compliance, and providing transparency to their prospective clients. Throughout his career with ACA, James has demonstrated his ability to work effectively with key decision makers to evaluate internal controls and strengthen operations. He is an adept business communicator with all types of businesses and individuals and has a proven ability to define issues, propose solutions, and implement changes. Besides his GIPS consulting services, James serves on ACA’s Technology Committee and Operations Committee. He regularly hosts educational webcasts on the GIPS standards, most recently “Recalculating Performance Returns” and “A Closer Look at the GIPS Standards for Real Estate Managers.” He also writes thought leadership pieces on GIPS, co-authoring, for example, The GIPS Standards for Real Estate Managers: Three Key Topics and Compliance Is Easier than You Think: A Closer Look at the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) for Real Estate Managers. James received his B.S. in Finance with an Investment Track focus and a Certificate in Negotiation from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2007. He became a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst in November 2010 and earned a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement in January 2010.
