Implemented 49 VAVE & Resourcing projects in 2015 totaling net savings after investment & before sharing =$4.1M for 2015,$9.6M for 2016, and $29.1M for Lifetime. • Conducted 10 VAVE Workshops in 2015, resulting in over 150 Ideas to pass Idea Generation. • Established global cross-functional VAVE team (with 19 members in US, Mexico, Austria, China) from the ground up, including Associate Value Specialist certifications through SAVE International Module I Workshop training. • Conducted VAVE process training to colleagues in all divisions in US, Mexico, Austria, and China. • Created and launched Total delivered Cost TDC Idea Database, in which the initial evaluation of every idea is documented and determined feasible / not feasible to open a TDC project. • Refined & enhanced the Global VAVE VA (Value Analysis) Focus Process to define, develop, and implement opportunities that improve the value of current products (prioritized based on detailed engineering proposal, risk, business case, and customer approval). • Developed Global VAVE VE (Value Engineering) Focus Process to define & document opportunities to improve the value of new products in the Quotation Phase and Development Phases. • Released a comprehensive Preferred Standard Part List & Selection and Approval Process, by leading a cross-functional global team, which is used for current VA opportunities and new VE opportunities. • Initiated a holistic Design to Cost process that involves optimization of system & part design, manufacturing strategy and supply base, with elements of Standard Architecture, Product Cost Optimization, Value Engineering, Preferred Standard Parts, Standard Part Features, Best / Should Costing, and Strategic Supplier involvement. • Supported process alignment with the other pillar leaders in Total Delivered Cost: Vertical Integration, Logistics, Supplier, Lean, and Cost Engineering.
