ABOUT JAMES HATLEY
James Hatley is a mining executive with over 25 years of experience in uranium, and base metals mine development, construction, and operations. He is currently the President and Chair of the Board for JCU (Canada) Exploration Company Ltd. and the VP Production at Uranium Energy Corp, where he leads the development of the company\'s Canadian assets, including the Roughrider Project, an exciting catalyst for UEC in Eastern Athabasca.James is also the founder and CEO of Hatley Engineering and Applied Technologies Inc, a consulting firm that offers mining companies the ability to accelerate the development of projects through technological innovation, best practices in project management and governance, and social-economic impact. James is passionate about creating multi-generational projects that benefit local communities and the environment.James has a proven track record of delivering complex and challenging projects in Canada and abroad. He recently completed the construction of two mines at the Voisey\'s Bay Mine Expansion for Vale, Canada\'s largest underground construction project, with exceptional safety and quality performance. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at NexGen Energy, Cameco Corporation, and Saudi Aramco, where he applied his specialized knowledge and technical approaches to develop and operate some of the world\'s highest grade, highest producing, and lowest cost uranium assets.James is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and holds a Master of Business Administration from Athabasca University. He is a recipient of the CIM Fellowship for 20 years of technical leadership and the CIM-Hatch Project Safety and Quality Award. He has published multiple papers on project development, mining methods, and innovation.
