ABOUT JAMES HARRIS
With over 30 years in the technology sector, including two decades focused on data protection, my career has taken me from MTI to InTechnology, and for the past 10 years, I’ve proudly led Harbor. Harbor Solutions provides reliable and secure data protection and recovery services, ensuring businesses can safeguard and access their critical information seamlessly.I come from fairly humble beginnings, which keep me grounded. I am motivated to continuously learn and adapt—qualities that resonate with Andrew S. Grove’s (the former CEO and co-founder of Intel Corporation) quote and the title of his book: “Only the Paranoid Survive.” His insights on vigilance and adaptability in business feel particularly relevant to me. What I enjoy most about my day-to-day role is still collaborating directly with clients—workshopping solutions, planning strategies, and being on the front line. Hands-on engagement has always been my favourite part of the job. Outside of work, I’m a husband and father of two. When time allows, I enjoy playing tennis or getting out on my mountain bike.
