About James H.

James has a breadth of experiences which he is committed to using to make the world a better place, believing all business have a part to play in the betterment of society. He started his career in public accounting after completing his masters and passing the CPA exam. While appreciating the financial, management, and process skillsets he developed, James realized accounting didn\'t meet his true calling. He then made a strategic shift to broaden his experience and pave the way towards a different career. For the next several years, James focused on designing and implementing Strategic Transformation Offices, which supported corporations in true achievement of strategy through selection and funding of strategic projects. At last James transitioned into his true passion area of sustainability and ESG by joining Steelcase as their ESG Controller. In this role, he was in charge of corporate ESG reporting and related processes. After a few months, James was promoted to his current role where he leads all ESG strategy efforts, focusing on setting clear and ambitious enterprise ESG goals and supporting achievement efforts. This role has allowed for the combination of James\' detailed and strategic background into a clear impact towards better futures for people and the planet.
