ABOUT JAMES GLOVER

I am an experienced design engineering manager with business development and executive experience operating my own companies since 2012.As well as a strong engineering foundation, I have experience of the executive, logistical, financial and human resource factors required. I have experience launching investment funding opportunities, producing financial forecasts, preparing pitch decks and presenting to potential investors. I am comfortable reporting directly to the board or presenting to clients.My core technical skills are focused around mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, and IT system design being able to quickly understand the fundamentals of newly presented ideas and investigate their advantages or disadvantages with a wider perspective and across different discipline groups.I have advanced 3D CAD, FEA and rendering skills using Solidworks for over 15 years, designing all the products in my portfolio. I have designed powerboats and superyacht tenders, recently launching a new range including electric propulsion and autonomous capabilities.Originally an automotive motorsport engineer, specialising in suspension and chassis design for WRC and F1, in 2007 I moved into the maritime sector, working first on a high-performance military powerboats and then starting my own design company, focusing on marine and automotive engineering, and vessel data monitoring systems. My clients include Royal Marines, US Coastguard and offshore windfarms.I have acquired a wide range of skills, including setting up software systems for remote data logging of vessels via satellite communications, running online sales channels with international logistics, marketing campaigns and producing digital and printed media.
