ABOUT JAMES GLENISTER

Data is one of the most important assets of the modern economy, and, consequently, it is incredibly important to be able to understand what it means in simple, actionable ways. That’s where I come in.I started at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University by studying Aerospace Engineering, but after taking a course in Computational Fluid Dynamics and numerical methods, I switched majors to focus on Computational Mathematics and Engineering Physics. This gave me the tools to stare deeply into data, discover the stories within the data, and be able to communicate those stories effectively. At ERAU, I led two research and development teams. • The first team created a plasma Particle-in-Cell (PIC) simulation using FORTRAN 90 to be used to model plasma which could be used to model space plasmas.• The second team developed a first principles model for thin membranes in a laminar flow to better model the dynamics of drone airfoils. We also created experiments to validate the model using photogrammetry and a wind tunnel. As a General Manager in a fast-paced service operation, I use these data analysis tools to improve operational efficiencies and decrease costs. Using the Fico XPress Optimization Suite and Python, I led my team of 20+ employees to increase the sales per labor hour from $20 to $38. We also increased our customer satisfaction rating from 2 out of 5 stars to 4 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for an analyst or an engineer that will dive deep into your numbers to better your business, product, or process to join your team, feel free to email me at j•••••••@gmail.com. I read every email.Skills Include:OptimizationForecastingNumerical MethodsClassical MechanicsSchedulingManagement
