I have recently completed a degree in Computer Science from Brunel University, West London. My studies have helped to develop my knowledge of computer systems, networks and databases as well as improve on my professionalism and communication within business. Dissertation: I chose to focus on how technology can be used to facilitate collaborative learning in education. This involved creating a networked interactive whiteboard using the.net framework which allows students in one classroom (or country) to interact with other students in a different country. Speech recognition and speech synthesis was then implemented to create a communication framework. Finally Bing Translation was used to allow students to communicate regardless of their ability to speak a common language. After leaving university I spent 4 months at a small consultancy firm based in Slough before re-joining Microsoft as a SharePoint consultant.
