I am responsible for leading the independent CIO which runs Kiplin Hall and Gardens located in North Yorkshire. I also lead the CIC Trading Arm which manages the commercial elements. The Hall is a historic house as well as being an Accredited Museum. I am responsible for guiding the strategic direction, making funding bids and supporting and developing the team of staff and volunteers to deliver a first rate visitor attraction and museums service. Over the course of my time here our achievements have included- Generating almost £2million in external funding from bequests, grants and philanthropy- delivering a £1.8million capital project to develop a new welcome centre- increasing visitor numbers from 18,700 to over per annum- increased visitor income by 60%- increased commercial income by 300%- volunteers numbers up from 140 to 220 - developing organizational culture to be more inclusive, engaging and collaborative- creating and delivered a five year plan successfully- creating an ambitious ten year masterplan to take us from 2025 to 2034- numerous awards including a Museum and Heritage Award- successfully navigating Covid, coming out stronger
