About James Dunbar
As an Associate Environmental Scientist, I help clients with their needs while complying with environmental regulations and best practices. I have a BA in Geography and a BS in Environmental Science from Villanova University, with a focus on natural resource management and occupational health and safety.Previously, I assisted senior program managers with air sampling, lead-based paint assessments, asbestos inspections, and report writing. I used my knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NIOSH guidelines, and my proficiency in hazardous material and air sampling techniques and instrumentation, to ensure the quality and accuracy of the fieldwork. I also communicated effectively with clients and stakeholders, and worked independently or as part of a team to achieve common goals. I supported research and monitoring efforts for fishery related projects at the USFWS, where I gained expertise in salmonoids and endangered fish native to Washington state, and data collection and analysis using Excel and ArcGIS. I have also worked as a seasonal environmental technician at Fairfax County Government, where I led a team of 8 members and performed mosquito surveillance and control activities, identifying over 25 mosquito and larvae species and applying pesticides according to VA regulations. I am passionate about sustainability and environmental protection, and I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges. I am looking for opportunities to collaborate with other professionals who share my vision and values, and to contribute to projects that make a positive impact on the environment and the society. Let\'s connect and explore how we can work together to achieve your goals.
