I conduct all aspects of commercial real estate valuations in a high-touch, relationship-centric role requiring forging of high-trust relationships with relationship managers, vendors, and appraisers. I am accountable for facilitating requests and reviews of commercial real estate valuations and consulting with relationship managers/loan brokers on loan collateral to determine values needed in appraisalsI bid assignments to local appraisers in the region, contact for quotes and timeframes for forwarding to relationship managers/loan brokers for bid decisions, award contracts to appraisers, and provide property information such as tax card ID numbers to identify parcels, property descriptions, operating history, pro forma and development budgets. Selected by leadership to spearhead a major project involving update of policies and procedures manual. Utilized regulatory information from Commercial Real Estate Lending Handbook and Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines to inform process, as well as consultation with chief appraisers of other institutions. Maintain excellent relationships with relationship managers and loan brokers by answering value questions and concerns, as well as communicating various considerations to appraisers on their behalf. Modernized the CRE department to use in-house data to illustrate valuation trends to management and banking regulators. Forge strong vendor relationships via open/consistent communication, sufficient lead times, and referral for quality service.
