About James Doolittle
More than 25 years ago, I loved being in hospitals! But not like you might think. My dad is a pharmacist and my mom is a nurse, so I spent most of my childhood, since I was around sixteen, working in the hospital. I loved working as a Pharmacy Tech, next to my dad and watching him make and mix drugs (mainly for chemotherapy), and when I was in high school through college, I worked with my mom in Outpatient surgery as a Physician Assistant. It was a great experience scrubbing in and working cases next to the doctors. I believe some of them were trying to \"groom\" me into being a physician. I have seen some pretty amazing procedures from some excellent surgeons.I took you through a little of my past to bring you to where I am now. About fifteen years ago, I found myself working in financial sales for a couple of years, when I finally woke up and realized where I truly wanted to be. I really wanted to be back in the hospital market. I asked my dad where I should start, and he said I should try Pharmaeutical Sales. I submitted my resume to several places and the one I fell in love with was Infolab, Inc, focusing my sales experience in selling Laboratory Equipment and consumables for the Hospital and Physician market. I felt like family as soon as I showed up for my interview. I am still friends with many of my co-workers, colleagues, and managers, despite being through a couple of acquistions from larger companies, like PSS World Medical, and, as of a few years ago, McKesson Medical-Surgical.Working in this industry in sales is very rewarding, yet challenging. With growing and expanding territories, bringing new clients and places to go, being organized and having a daily agenda, while preparing for the client, is critical. I love this work, though! Knowing that I am helping my clients solve problems, which helps and heals patients, makes me proud to do what I do. Thanks to all who have been on my journey through life - James
