ABOUT JAMES D. GINGERICH

JD Gingerich is a senior executive with broad administrative experience directing a state-level government sector organization. He is currently the Dean of the Institute for Court Management Fellows Program at the National Center for State Courts. For five years he was the Director of the State Courts Partnership, a collaboration between the UALR Bowen School of Law and the National Center for State Courts, providing research, consultation and services to courts and judicial sector institutions and organizations across the U.S. For the majority of his career he acted on behalf of the Arkansas Chief Justice and the Arkansas Judicial Council to lead and manage the employees, resources and programs of the Arkansas court system. He has served as President of the U.S. Conference of State Court Administrators and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for State Courts. He is a frequent presenter at judicial and court management conferences, an Instructor for the Institute for Court Management, and publishes on a variety of topics including court leadership, judicial elections, court funding and access to justice. He is the recipient of the Kenneth R. Palmer Distinguished Service Award (2015) from the Conference of State Court Administrators, a member of the Warren E. Burger Society (2011) of the National Center for State Courts, and attended the Leadership Development Program for Senior Executives in Government at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (2007).
