About James Cummins

An experienced estate and trust litigator, my practice is focused on post-death administration of trusts and estates, and disputes arising out of wills, trusts, estates, and financial elder abuse. I represent trustees, executors, personal representatives, and attorneys-in-fact in high stakes litigation matters. For example, I handle lawsuits involving accusations of trust mismanagement, breach of fiduciary duty, trust and will contests. This area of practice requires not only specific knowledge and expertise, but also the ability to deal effectively with individuals, often family members, who are under significant emotional and financial stress. I also have years of business litigation experience which serves my estate litigation clients well, including domestic and global commercial disputes, business disputes in the family law setting, and real property disputes. And while amicable resolution of most disputes is usually the goal, if a claim needs to be resolved through bench or jury trial, I and my team at Harrison LLP are well prepared and equipped to pursue the most complex cases to the very end.
