About James Jones

I am a proven QA Test Engineer with over 15 years in the Telecommunications industry. I have extensive experience developing and executing requirements-based test procedures and scripts for manual and automated testing. In my most recent assignment, I worked for Frequentis where I developed and executed test procedures for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Air Traffic Management (ATM) Air-to-Ground Media Gateway System (AGMGS) which converts analog to digital VoIP radio communication. Prior to that, I worked for Verizon performing Systems Integration & Testing for FiOS voice, video and data services. I developed and executed test procedures for many of the FiOS platforms including the Passive Optical Networks, Application Servers, Session Border Controllers and Voice Mail platforms. My combined Frequentis and Verizon experience has given me a proficient knowledge of SIP/VoIP. I’ve been involved with Frequentis’s AGMGS and Verizon’s FiOS Voice platforms since there initial launch, giving me a great deal of experience in deploying new platforms and services. I have considerable experience working in Development & Integration lab environments and First Office Application projects. I have solid written and oral communication skills, experience leading small teams and participating in various inter-departmental cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Planning, Operations, and 3rd party vendors. My proudest accomplishment is the integration, certification, and launch of Verizon’s flagship FiOS Digital Voice service.
