The Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey is a small, private graduate school located in Monterey, California. Over 90% of our students have worked, studied, or lived abroad before coming to MIIS, and many go abroad again after enrolling. Through one of our practica, internships, or professional development programs, you’ll have the opportunity to spend spring break, winter term, summer break, or an entire semester abroad or in the U.S. getting the work experience you need to launch your international career. More than 90% of our graduates are employed in their field within six months of graduation across the globe in at least 25 different countries.
