About James Burkett

I am the founder of Florin Digital LP, a global investment firm investing at the intersection of finance and technology. We make concentrated bets in early-stage opportunities, growth, and special situations where we take a hands on approach with each investment. We are geography agnostic and have deployed capital in six different continents. At Florin, I took the business from an idea on a napkin at a cafe in London to a full-fledged regulated platform with operations in four countries and counted a group of investors spread across the world as our backers.Prior to Florin, I held senior finance roles at financial services companies Delos, Parallel Finance, and PollyEx. The first decade of my career was in investment banking, predominantly at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, now Piper Sandler. In my time there I raised over $10 billion for clients across debt and equity markets. I also advised on over 50 M&A transactions with an aggregate value in the tens of billions.I am currently an advisor to a number of venture capital funds and early stage startups.
